Quality & Trust
Atlas of Opportunity is maintained by a small student-led team. We do not list every program we find — we vet, deduplicate, and re-check the catalog continuously. This page exists so you can see what that actually means in numbers.

How we vet
- Every listing has a source URL we manually opened at least once.
- We prefer official organizational pages over aggregators.
- Pay-to-play summer programs are excluded unless they offer substantial financial aid.
- Listings include grade level, format (in-person/remote/hybrid), and deadline when known.
How we keep it fresh
- An automated link checker runs daily against every listing.
- Broken links are quarantined; we attempt to recover the new URL or remove the listing.
- A discovery pipeline scans 90+ trusted sources weekly for new programs.
- Community reports through “Report a problem” are reviewed by hand.
What we don't claim
- We are a student project, not an accredited counseling service.
- Acceptance, funding, and eligibility decisions are made by the listed organizations — not by us.
- Some listings may still be out of date between checks. Please verify on the program's official site before applying.
