§ Transparency report

Real numbers, in the open.

Everything below is pulled live from the catalog the moment you loaded this page. No "trusted by 10,000 students" claims, no rounded marketing numbers — just what the database says.

Outbound clicks are logged as anonymous day-bucketed counts on the program — no user, no IP, no session. One click = one student pressing "Visit program site." Prefetches (Sec-Purpose), non-GET requests, and known bot user-agents are dropped before the counter increments.

Sanity check: Clicks (30d) ≤ Opportunities discovered (all-time), and Clicks per visitor = Opportunities discovered ÷ Unique visitors. If any of these ever look off, the numbers on this page are wrong, not the ones in your head — please tell us.

Two counters, one story

The numbers above are the all-time internal count — every real browser since launch. We also publish a Plausible dashboard (privacy-friendly, cookieless, third-party) as an independent audit trail. Plausible shows a smaller number because it only started measuring the day it was installed, and it's more aggressive at filtering bots. Both are honest — one is the full history, the other is verified recent traffic.

§ Honest limits

We don't have outcome data yet. We can't honestly say "N students got into research programs through Atlas" because we don't track applications or acceptances. We're building an opt-in outcomes feature next.

Not a registered charity. This is a student-led educational project. We do not accept donations and there is no board.

Catalog is US-focused. International programs are added when surfaced, but coverage outside the US is currently uneven.

§ Outcomes beta
Get one email when opt-in outcomes tracking ships.

When we launch the feature that lets you report acceptances (fully opt-in, aggregated, never sold), we'll email you once. That's it.

  • · One email when outcomes tracking launches — nothing else.
  • · Your grade & role stay private; used only to prioritize follow-up questions.
  • · Never sold. Never shared. Unsubscribe in one click.
